Arthroscopy Surgery

Joints are critical, Arthroscopy investigates the root cause of joint problems

Arogyam Hospital offers high-end expertise and experience in Arthroscopy – a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed to visualize, diagnose and treat problems in joints. The procedure is carried out to detect any internal injuries in the joint when X-rays or other imaging investigations give unclear indications of the trauma.

In an arthroscopic surgery, the surgeon makes a small incision and inserts a narrow tube that has a tiny camera attached, called Arthroscope into the joint. This exposes the inside of the joint on a screen. The arthroscopic surgeon may also perform corrective surgery with special instruments that can be inserted into the joint via accessory incisions. Arthroscopy is usually followed by an exercise regimen, specifically under the supervision of a physical therapist, to follow for better and faster recovery.

Knee arthroscopy is one of the most common surgeries performed by orthopedic surgeons. Our surgeons have performed numerous arthroscopic surgeries for knee joints including torn anterior, torn meniscus, fractures in the knee bones, swollen synovium, etc. The expert team at Arogyam Hospital has performed many successful arthroscopic surgeries in Nagpur.
